Your Artistic Reflection
Reflection began in 2020 with one question: what does a portrait look like when it is painted from the inside? More than eighty people took part. They answered questions about beauty as they define it, their relationship with their parents, and the sources of pain in their lives, in writing, in voice notes, or face to face.
No participant's face appears in the work. The answers became colours and shapes, each colour chosen for the feeling an answer carried. When participants first saw their paintings, some cried, and others laughed at finding a side of themselves they had not expected.
A selection of the works was shown in a solo exhibition, and the project still asks its questions every year.
What is Dialogue & Paint?
Dialogue & Paint carries Reflection into a closer form: one meeting between you and Ahmad. It begins with personal questions you answer, continues with a conversation at the studio, and ends with a painting born from that conversation.
More than eighty people have taken part since 2020. Some came for themselves, and some gave it to someone they love.
About Ahmad Haddad
Ahmad Haddad is an artist and writer from Madinah, and the founder of Haddad Studio in the JAX District, Diriyah. To him, art gives form to the reality inside us, whether pain, beauty, or a mix of both.
He works in ink, watercolour and digital collage. His work turns around memory, childhood and place, and around the questions people carry without saying them.

Ahmad contacts you to confirm the date, then we meet at Haddad Studio, JAX District, Diriyah.

The cost depends on material, size, frame and idea. The final price is agreed with Ahmad directly.
