Who Midad Is For
Midad is built for beginner and emerging artists: those starting out who want solid ground, and those already working who want to take their practice a step deeper.
Fields of practice
Midad welcomes practitioners from a range of fields, including:
- Visual artists working across drawing, sculpture, installation, and contemporary art.
- Performing artists working in theatre, movement, and dance.
- Writers and storytellers.
- Curators and researchers.
- Designers and craftspeople working in fashion, product, and traditional craft.
- Sound and music practitioners.
- Multidisciplinary practitioners whose work is not confined to one field.

What they share
They share a desire to:
- Develop a new or existing project.
- Express something meaningful while still searching for the right language.
- Understand the relationship between inner experience and artistic practice.
- Experiment, participate, and engage in dialogue.
- Commit to the time and attendance required by their selected track.
We are not looking for one style or a particular level of technical mastery. We are looking for curiosity, commitment, and a genuine willingness to enter the process.
